Department Summary:
Bridgewater State Universitys Department of Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time position to begin Fall 2019. A growing, dynamic, interdisciplinary department with a strong focus on social justice in both theory and practice seeks qualified and committed faculty who are enthusiastic teachers dedicated to working with undergraduate and graduate students. The department strives to advance the success of all students, community partnerships and social justice.

Essential Duties:
The department seeks an applicant who can teach a variety of criminal justice courses in the undergraduate program. Among the courses to be taught are ethics, comparative legal systems, corrections and reentry, research methods, data analysis, and crime theory.

Applicants should possess:
Ability to effectively teach in a close, collegial environment dedicated to the teaching-learning relationship.
- Strong commitment to social, political and economic justice.
Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters inclusion.
Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning.
Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading.
Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the department office as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.

The purpose of this position is to meet an immediate need within the department. If this need remains, this position may be renewable, subject to budgetary approval.

Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater or at satellite campuses in Attleboro and on Cape Cod.

Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in related field required.

Teaching experience required.
