The Department of Interior Design in the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a full-time, nine-month tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a start date of August 14, 2017. The position is for a rising professional in interior design with an interest in beginning design pedagogy, multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and design, demonstrated research, creative and/or scholarly practice, and experience in both digital and analog modes of representation. In addition, successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to develop scholarly and creative initiatives that engage the School’s philosophy of design as an active exploration of making at a variety of scales. The ideal candidate will contribute to the teaching team of the School’s collaborative foundation studio and other course offerings in the interior design curriculum.
