Job Summary | The Markey Cancer Center Cancer Research Informatics Shared Resource Facility is seeking an experienced data management specialist to provide data management support for Investigator Initiated Trials. The data management specialist will be responsible for using Oncore [the Cancer Center's CTMS and EDC (Electronic Data Capture) System] to build protocol calendar specifications and develop eCRFs(Electronic Case Report Forms). The data management specialist will assist in collaborating with protocol staff (Principal Investigators, Clinical Research Associates, Biostaticians, Data Monitors, Clinical Data Managers etc.) regarding data collection throughout the study lifecycle. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Microsoft Office, Research Databases, HIPAA , HSP , PC/Web. Knowledge of clinical trials design and processes, the therapeutic area of oncology, computers, EDC systems, data management processes, forms design and development, and medical coding. Work is directly involved in the design, development, validation, testing, training, implementation or technical support of data collection tools, systems or databases. Direct participation in applying quality control measures and tracking processes to manage data integrity. Experience dealing with the abstraction of information from one or multiple sources and entered into a data collection tool, system or database. Any work with analytical or summary reporting or other deliverables from a structured relational data source. Any type of experience related to data management that involves data standards, workflows or coding. Any other work in the clinical, biomedical or pharmaceutical fields that imparts knowledge about content of clinical trials data and/or clinical trial processes. |
