Visiting Assistant Professor, Creative Writing

The Department of English at Kansas State University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor serving as a one-year replacement in poetry beginning August 18, 2013.  Secondary interest in another genre preferred. Teaching load is 3-3 and includes introductory classes in poetry writing and literature as well as mentoring graduate students on M.A. committees.  Successful candidates will have a M.F.A. or Ph.D. by August 2013 in Creative Writing, a strong publication record, and evidence of excellence in the classroom.  Service opportunities will include active participation in program-sponsored events.
