Position Overview

The University of Kansas Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department invites candidates to submit applications, which will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and appointments will be made as needed.

Successful candidates will conduct research related to the following fields as specified by position opening: physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis, macromolecular pharmaceutics, and cellular & molecular biopharmaceutics, chemistry, pharmaceutics, biochemistry, pharmacology, or related field.

Job Description

80% -Required to perform research based on a specified area of study.

15%-Participate in activities of the laboratory including participation in scientific seminars, collaboration, and presentation of scholarly work in appropriate settings.

5%-Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.

NOTE: To be appointed at the Postdoctoral Researcher title it is necessary to have the PhD in hand. Appointments made without a diploma or certified transcript indicating an earned doctorate are conditional hires and are appointed on an interim basis not to exceed 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in chemistry
• Experience with a variety of analytical techniques
• Publications or other evidence of scholarly achievement
• Evidence of existing scientific collaborations
