NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program

The application for the 2019-20 NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program has opened via NCAA Program Hub. This program provides on-the-job learning experience at the national office to college graduates of NCAA-affiliated schools who are passionate about a career in college sports administration. With a focus on women, ethnic minorities and former student athletes, this internship program gives insight into the inner workings of college sports from the national perspective.

Keys dates

  • Application process opened: 8 a.m. Eastern time Monday, Aug. 6.
  • Application process closes: 5 p.m. Eastern time Friday, Sept. 14.
  • Start date: Monday, June 17, 2019.

Based in Indianapolis, the NCAA offers yearlong internships within several focus areas at the national office, including administrative services, accounting, championships, marketing, communications, leadership development, executive, inclusion, governance, public relations and regulatory affairs.  The PGIP provides interns with comprehensive training, mentor assignments and networking opportunities. As part of their year at the national office, postgraduate interns also plan and execute professional development site visits to conference offices, member campuses and affiliate organizations to further their knowledge of the collegiate sports industry and network with today's leaders in athletics. Interns over the past 25 years have taken their experience and institutional knowledge onto campuses and into conference offices as full-time administrators.
