The College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology, is looking for a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Norman. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Summary/Duties :
  • Order supplies and animal requisitions
  • Maintain records of receipts and payments
  • Order and track controlled substances
  • Track and maintain inventory
  • Program coordination duties between collaborating laboratories at the University of Cincinnati in addition to outside collaborators in industry and at the NIH
  • Laboratory research using techniques such as the ELISA and radioligand binding assays
  • Opportunities to participate in preparation and writing of manuscripts and presentations at local and national meetings are anticipated


Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a sciences related subject

Ideal Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a Master's degree in a life sciences related subject

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
