Employment Outreach and Development Coordinator

The Employment Outreach and Development Coordinator is responsible to the Director of Career Services and works closely with the Dean of the College of Business for developing career and internship opportunities for the College of Business students and alumni.

Responsibilities: 

·         Develop and maintain relationships with employers in the private, non-profit, for-profit, and government sector in order to increase the number of experiential, networking, and employment opportunities available to students and alumni.

·         Cultivate routine and new outreach initiatives for employer partnerships to increase the number of internships and career placement for College of Business students.

·         Communicate to employers the organizational needs of student and alumni career interests.

·         Collaborate with Career Services Staff to plan on campus and off campus events including, but not restricted to job and internship fairs, alumni networking events, career workshop series, and on campus interviews.

·         Represent Career Services at internal and external events as necessary.

·         Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor degree in Business, Communication, Counseling, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, or related field. At least four years of corporate partnership development experience.  Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Extensive marketing and sales background. MBA degree, strong ability to network with industry representatives, five to seven years professional experience with program coordination, event planning, and relationship building preferred.
