Visiting Assistant Professor (with doctorate) or Visiting Lecturer (with master

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Elmhurst College in the greater Chicago area invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor (with doctorate) or Visiting Lecturer (with master's degree) for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Essential Functions
Responsible for teaching three courses in the fall and three courses in the spring.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree required. Preferred candidates will hold an earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely related field, have CCC - SLP certification, and hold or be eligible for Illinois licensure. Candidates with expertise in child speech, language, and literacy are of particular interest. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will hold an earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely related field, have CCC - SLP certification, and hold or be eligible for Illinois licensure. Candidates with expertise in child speech, language, and literacy are of particular interest.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
