Curriculum Specialist II



Function:
Support the department processes including curriculum and assessment and CETL. Maintain course and curriculum approvals through the internal and external processes, including ensuring information is accurate, preparing materials for the curriculum committee, and completion and tracking of course and curriculum paperwork required by ICCB. Ensure that course and curriculum information is correct by assisting with the preparation and editing of the course catalog, schedules and marketing information. Maintain accurate course information in the college's ERP system. Assist with the facilitation of assessment process for the college including assistance with survey administration. Order and maintain supplies; organize distribution tools; maintain faculty and course schedule for distribution; distribute and collect assessment tools; and coordinate with the Manager of Outcomes Assessment to facilitate scanning.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the coordination and preparation of credit course and catalog narrative on an on-going basis throughout the year and verify section detail data prior to posting the credit class schedule Update curriculum and course information in catalog template.

2. Assist with the facilitation of assessment process for the college Order and maintain supplies; organize distribution tools; maintain faculty and course schedule for distribution, distribute and collect assessment tools; and coordinate with the Manager of Outcomes Assessment to facilitate scanningParticipate as technical support for the both Curriculum and SLAAC committees and coordinate necessary correspondence, including: scheduling meetings; organization; preparation and distribution of materials; room scheduling; maintaining committee eNet pages; and taking and distributing minutes.

3. Maintain master ICCB course and curriculum files and ensure accuracy with internal records which may include, but not limited to: materials, course fees, course details; prerequisites, independent study documentation, etc.Ensure all course outlines are up-to-date and on file using ImageNow software. Maintain course master information in ERP system.

4. Prepare and maintain ICCB paperwork required for state approval. Assist in gathering and/or creating resources to support course schedule development, catalog production, course outcomes assessment and the program review process (i.e. course outlines, curriculum mapping, timelines, and assessment reports).

5. Proofread curriculum and course information included in college marketing publications and on college website.

6. Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a non-credit course master system. Create non-credit sections for CETL in Colleague.

7. Provide clerical support for TLSD Operations. Also provide some clerical support for CETL including creating sections, tracking attendance and creating/issuing certifcates of completion.

Physical Demands:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Position requires close visual acuity to perform activities (i.e. preparing/analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes).

Required Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

2. Two or more years administrative support experience.

3. Strong communication and organizational skills.

4. Proficient in use of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisherl.

5. Excellent Proofreading skills

Desired Qualifications:
1. Experience with Colleague ERP system preferred.
