Faculty in Criminology/Sociology

The Criminology Program and the Department of Sociology invites applications for a one-year, nine course (3-3-3) appointment beginning in September 2017. Teaching responsibilities include Social Deviance, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Statistics in Criminology and other courses required by the Criminology and Sociology Majors. This term faculty position may be renewed, pending performance review and enrollment needs.

The Criminology Program at DePaul University is a new major in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the various aspects of the criminal legal system. DePaul’s Criminology Program emphasizes critical thinking, strong analytical and writing skills, and ethical considerations, and is aligned with the urban, service and social justice oriented mission of the University. Term faculty will participate in collaborative efforts with the Department of Sociology and other allied fields, in addition to community partners, to foster course enhancement, teaching effectiveness, and assessment of student learning in an exciting, burgeoning field.
