Instructional Design Coordinator
Des Moines University is a special place! In existence for more than 100 years, Des Moines University welcomes the responsibilities of educating today’s graduate students to be tomorrow’s distinctive healthcare professionals! And currently we are seeking an experienced Instructional Design Coordinator for our Center for Improvement of Teaching and Learning (CITL).
Reporting to the Director of CITL, the Instructional Design Coordinator will be responsible for working with program chairs to create and manage a system of course improvement using faculty development as a foundation to implement new teaching and assessment methodologies to student learning and development. In addition, this position will coordinate instructional design support of online and on campus classes, collaborate with faculty and staff to create web-based teaching and learning and more!
Qualifications for this highly visible position include, but are not limited to, a Masters degree in Education or a related field plus two years of college-level education work experience supporting on-line delivery (Doctoral degree preferred); two to five years experience with learning management systems; be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate faculty needs; strong team building skills; excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills.
