Position Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Social Work invites applications for a full-time, two-year renewable term faculty position at the rank of Instructor, pending budget approval. The successful candidate's responsibilities include teaching four course sections per semester, participating in service to the University and community, and student advisement. The department offers programs at B.A. and M.S.W. levels and qualified candidates must be able to teach practice classes across the two programs.

Education Requirements:

Required qualifications include an LMSW (or equivalent) with at least five years of post-MSW direct practice experience or a Ph.D. in social work or DSW with at least two years of post-MSW direct practice experience.

Certifications:

Certification as an LMSW, or equivalent, required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with advanced license, previous teaching experience, and those with practice experience in trauma informed care.
