Instructor, Exercise Physiology

Full/Part Time Status:Full Time Service Schedule:Academic Year

Position Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's College of Education is seeking applications for a full-time Instructor in the School of Kinesiology, Allied Health and Human Services beginning August 2017. The successful candidate's primary teaching responsibility for this three-year term position will be to teach laboratory courses in Physiology of Exercise. Teaching responsibilities may include Physical Activity and Nutrition for Health and Fitness, Strength and Conditioning Level 1 Certification, or other exercise-physiology related courses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating the exercise physiology laboratory.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or closely related field from a nationally or internationally recognized program required.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications include demonstrated experience teaching university labs and courses in exercise physiology, and evidence of experience in operating and maintaining an exercise physiology laboratory including metabolic carts, treadmills, blood lab (blood lactate analyzer), underwater weighing, BodPod, and ergometry.
