Position Description:

UNI's Department of Technology seeks applications for a full-time Instructor or tenure-track Assistant Professor of Construction Management and/or Technology & Engineering Education, available August 2018.

Education Requirements:

Applicants for Instructor rank must have or be in the process of completing a master's degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, MBA, Technology & Engineering Education or related field by Jan. 1, 2019. For the rank of Assistant Professor, the successful candidate must hold a terminal degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Technology & Engineering Education or related field.

Required Qualifications:

Rank of Instructor must have a minimum of five years of U.S. Construction Industry experience. Rank of Assistant Professor requires 5-10 years of U.S. Construction Industry experience. Candidates must also demonstrate effective communication skills; a commitment to engaged learning / scholarship and service; and a willingness to develop partnerships with local and national construction-related businesses and organizations.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with Industry Project Management experience; minimum of 10 years of U.S. Construction Industry experience; and evidence of successful teaching or education courses in pedagogy. Candidates for Technology & Engineering Education who are open to gaining high school teaching experience with departmental support preferred.
