Position Description:

Provides fully integrated student and faculty instructional support services for distance education offerings and distance learning technologies; assists with digital video recording creation, management, and administration; provides faculty with professional development in the use of technologies for the Division's videoconferencing and distance education courses; assists with the maintenance and revision of Guided Independent Study courses; assists with instructional development editing as assigned; assists with hiring and training student assistants; and stays abreast of emerging technologies to support growth in distance education courses.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.

Required Qualifications:

At least one year of online instructional development (management of full course design and implementation) at the college/university level; strong project management and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and excellent team-based, collaborative interpersonal skills required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Master's or doctoral degree in education, curriculum and instruction, educational technology, instructional design, or related field; experience with HTML and Adobe editing tools and multimedia presentation software; teaching experience in an online environment; familiarity with Quality Matters (QM) Rubric Standards and QM certification; and at least one year of experience providing support for desktop video conferencing, lecture and video capture software, and digital video editing preferred.
