Position Description:

The Department of Communication Studies invites applications for a Broadcast Engineer. Candidates for this full-time (12 month) position will be required to manage, design, and implement video, audio, lighting, and digital server systems for two television studios, a black box theatre, and field equipment; assist in long range planning; provide technical assistance to the department; and train, supervise, and assist users with digital media systems.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of professional experience in digital media operations required. Associate's degree in Broadcast Engineering or other related field plus at least five years of professional experience in digital media operations may be substituted.

Required Qualifications:

Experience configuring and maintaining media servers, repairing digital media equipment, and configuring digital media HD control rooms and studios required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of multiple computer platforms; SBE certification; and experience working in an educational environment preferred.
