Lecturer, Electrical & Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (http://www.ece.iastate.edu/) at Iowa State University invites applications for the position of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.

 

Lecturers serve the department’s education mission through instruction, laboratory development, and curriculum innovation. This position is available in any of the areas of software engineering, computer engineering, and Cyber Security. The successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate courses. All candidates must have demonstrated potential to excel in teaching.

 

All faculty members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • M.S. degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or closely related field
  • Two years of experience teaching undergraduate students
  • For consideration at the Senior Lecturer rank, in addition to the above, the candidate must have a minimum of six years teaching experience at the college level

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Strong record of knowledge and work experience in computer engineering, software engineering, or cyber security.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students at a university
  • Experience developing and teaching independent courses

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University is home to 56 faculty, and is associated with 11 research centers and institutes.
