Associate Director of the
Tate Student Center for Student Activities & Organizations
The University of Georgia (UGA) is in search of a dynamic student affairs professional for the position of Associate Director of the Tate Student Center for Student Activities & Organizations. The Associate Director reports to the Associate Dean of Students & Director of the Tate Student Center and is a member of the administrative leadership team. The Associate Director supervises four professional staff members, two administrative assistants, and six graduate assistants who provide oversight for several student programs/organizations: the Center for Student Organizations (comprised of approximately 700 student organizations); the University Union Student Programming Board; Welcome Back Orientation (Big Dawg Welcome); WUOG 90.5FM, the student-run, non-commercial radio station; Pandora Yearbook; Leadership Resource Team; the Student Government Association; the Graduate Student Association; and the National Student Exchange program.
Requirements: A Master’s degree in student affairs/higher education administration or similar field is required, a Doctorate is preferred. A successful candidate will have six years of post-Master’s experience working in a college or university setting. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience with supervision, budget management, program development, advising, and a respect and appreciation for diverse student populations.
