POSITION SUMMARY:
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Department of Surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, is seeking a procurement surgeon to join the Heart and Lung Transplant Program at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). This is a non-ranked faculty level position requiring specialized experience in Surgery or equivalent specialized accomplishment. This position includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates for this position will be responsible for procuring organs needed for heart and lung transplants.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eligibility for a full and unrestricted Florida Medical License is required.
  • Candidate must have a flexible schedule and experience in operating in cardiovascular anatomy and organ procurement.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.
