Title IX Coordinator

Internal Title: Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX coordinator will serve as the university’s Title IX expert and stay abreast of regulations, statutes, OCR guidances and best practices relating to gender based violence including, but not limited to, Title IX and VAWA. The Title IX coordinator will ensure the university’s overall Title IX compliance. This position reports to the Director or Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IX and VAWA and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Experience conducting investigations alleging discrimination or sex-based violence.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.

Strongly Preferred

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (such as social work, psychology or forensic psychology, higher education administration, law) and two years of appropriate experience.
