RERI Research Assistant (OPS)

Job Description
The RERI Research Assistant performs several duties to meet the needs of the Regional Economic Research Institute. This includes assisting in research projects, editing, proofing, writing, and preparing the five regular RERI publications, and preparing for events in which the RERI is participating.
This position will work 2 to 10 hours per week.

Required Qualifications
Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of hire and through the term of employment.
Demonstrated experience using a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), databases, and document scanning.
Knowledge of economic ideas and jargon and interest in the regional economy.
Excellent written communication, editing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to coordinate and organize resources, services, and individuals to assist in planning events and programs.
Ability to interact with the RERI staff and work both independently and on a team.
Ability to be dependable and meet deadlines.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends with advance notice.
