Job Description
The Dean of Students Office ( DOSO ) Assistant performs routine office duties. In addition, this position also assists the Dean of Students office with a variety of programs and initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Must be an enrolled student at Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of hire and throughout the appointment.
Have a minimum GPA 2.5 and in good conduct standing with the University.
Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Office (word, excel, and outlook) software.
Excellent customer service, telephone skills, general office skills, and ability to use a variety of office equipment.
Eligible for College Work Study.

Job Duties

Essential Job Duties
• Performs routine office duties as assigned to support DOSO staff daily.
• Answers incoming calls, screens and routes the calls to the proper resource. Responds to inquiries and takes messages.
• Greets and instructs students, faculty, staff and visitors and directs them to the appropriate resource.
• Ensures professional, hospitable interactions with all visitors and follows office protocols and procedures.
• Assists visitors with the sign- in process.
• Logs and distributes mail.
• Assists the Dean of Students office with a variety of programs and initiatives.

Other Duties
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
