The University of Delaware invites applications for the position of Senior Assistant Dean. Under the limited direction of the Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Education (VPGPE), the Senior Assistant Dean provides strategic leadership and guidance on a broad range of graduate education programs and services that support the effective and successful recruitment, retention, development, and graduation of an exceptional, diverse, and inclusive graduate student population.

The Senior Assistant Dean assists the VPGPE in formulating policies, procedures, and practices for graduate student success, supervises and works with assigned staff, establishes metrics, drives strategic decision-making, assists in developing long-term organizational goals for the Graduate Office, and acts as a close advisor to the VPGPE. The Senior Assistant Dean is responsible for deploying the best graduate recruitment and enrollment management practices to attract a talented and diverse pool of prospective graduate students. The incumbent collaborates with and advises faculty and staff engaged in graduate admissions on how to continuously enhance the graduate applicant experience by establishing, evaluating, and putting into effect policies consistent with known best practices and competitive standards.
