Limited Term Researcher, Physical Therapy

  1. Develop Study Procedures:


    1. Preparation of project briefing books and coordination of grant meetings


    2. Assist with creating Manuals of Procedures (MOPs) for specified projects.
      1. Develop recruitment, recordkeeping, tracking, communication, and data collection procedures for all studies.


      Code Qualitative Data:
      1. Develop Codebooks for Qualitative Data Analyses.
      2. Code Transcripts as appropriate.
      3. Prepare results.


      Study Coordination/Project Management:

        1. Monitors sampling and communicates with investigators on a regular basis to meet accrual goals.


          1. Provides direction, instruction, and support to research assistants and other study personnel.
            1. Prepares and submits IRB applications, continuations, and amendments.


            Data Management:





              1. Monitor accrual and report to study team members.


              2. Implement new strategies and processes to achieve targeted enrollments.


              3. Monitor completeness of data.


              4. Run tracking, accrual, and demographics reports.


              5. Conduct data cleaning and clearly name and label all data prior to analysis.


              6. Develop and implement audit processes to review data quality and IRB/human subjects compliance.


              7. Ensure that all recruitment targets and timelines are met.
            1. Training:
              1. Work with research scientists to develop procedures and orientation materials for employees within Center for Assessment Research and Translation (ART)
              2. Develops training procedures, training manuals, training presentations, and certification protocols.
              3. Trains every data collector


              1. Study Design:


                1. Develop and prepare data collection design/prepare data response sheets as appropriate.


                2. Develop study data collection databases in Assessment Center


                3. Develop study data collection databases in REDCap


                1. IRB compliance and knowledge:
                1. Monitor and audit studies to ensure that lab stays in compliance with IRB regulations for all studies
                2. Assistance with ART IRB submissions


                1. Assist in grant preparation including grant writing and budget support
                  1. Assist PI in developing body (preparing sections/tables/figures)
                  2. Coordinate adjunct material (e.g., biosketch, Letters of support, Letters of Intent)
                  3. Coordinate literature reviews/reference sections.
                  4. Assist PI in preparing annual reports


                  Coordinate Data Collection Efforts:

                    1. Prepare and submit IRB documents to collect data (either registry of prospective patients interested in participating in research or multisite study efforts coordinating with researchers at other sites).
                    2. Developed all documents related to recruitment and data collection.
                    3. Developed systems for both electronic and hard copy enrollment.
                    4. Develop and establish recruitment strategies at the local and state level.




                    1. Dissemination:



                      1. Assist in writing and preparing manuscripts, posters, web site, and other publications (e.g., newsletter).
