CONTEXT OF THE JOB:

Institutional Statistics Research Analyst - University of Delaware (Newark, DE)

Work with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and the Higher Education Consortia (HEC) staff to provide comparative analysis of instructional costs, productivity, and scholarly activity used by numerous educational institutions for management and policy decisions. Serve as the primary statistical resource for 180+ institutional participants of the National Study of Instructional Cost & Productivity (a.k.a. the Delaware Cost Study) during the data collection and verification process. Produce annual reports and activities associated with the Study, including national norms, web reports, and the maintenance of databases. Develop and apply advanced statistical models that include techniques utilized in the social sciences, such as linear mixed modeling, multivariate linear and logistical regression, data envelopment analysis, and structural equation modeling. Develop analytical tools and acquire, manipulate, develop, and maintain longitudinal data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Develop data and reports for University of Delaware departments engaged in the academic program review (APR) process.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in education, statistics, social science or related field and 3 years of related experience, or alternatively a Master's degree in same and 1 year of related experience. Experience must include managing longitudinal datasets, conducting multi-dimensional data analysis, and applying advanced statistical models such as Linear Mixed Modeling. Finalists are required to complete a skills assessment test. Background checks required.
