DRC Critical Infrastructure Post Doctoral Researcher

CONTEXT OF JOB:

The Disaster Research Center (DRC) at the University of Delaware invites applications for a full-time post-doctoral research position beginning in February 2018. The successful applicant will primarily work on a National Science Foundation-funded study focused on critical infrastructure, including decision-making and the societal impacts of loss of infrastructure. The position will include research, publishing, and some Center-related service obligations. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills are required. The appointment will be for one year, renewable for up to one additional year contingent on performance and funding. The position carries a competitive salary. Candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in a social science discipline with a research interest in the broad areas of disasters, the environment, or decision-making will be given preference. Candidates with a defense date scheduled prior to March 2018 will also be considered. Review of applications will begin January 2018 and will continue until the position is filled.
