Bridge to College: Learning Assistant/ Upward Bound Naugatuck Valley Community College, in Waterbury, CT a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education, Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, invites applications for the following anticipated opening(s): Full Time 12 Month Grant Funded Administrative position(s): Bridge to College: Learning Assistant/Upward Bound - oversees all aspects of the Upward Bound program at a Waterbury School District high school. The Learning Assistant position will be housed both on campus and within the high school. The Learning Assistant will be responsible for program implementation including but not limited to supervision of part time staff, mentoring, after school tutoring, college and career advisement, field trips, collaboration with school district staff, and working directly with high school students. The Learning Assistant will work with the Bridge to College Director on programmatic and fiscal data collection, programmatic and fiscal reporting, and overall evaluation of the project. The Learning Assistant should demonstrate strong collaborative skills working with school district staff, community partners, and campus staff and faculty. Some night and weekend hours are necessary.
