Oversee team of Design Engrs & Drafting Technicians resp. for dvlpng mnfctrng drawings. Attend meetings w/Engrng Team Mgrs & dprtmnt heads to review status of projects. Promote collaboration betw. dprtmnts to implement mnfctrng methods for new & exist. platforms. Communicate w/customers on status & goals of projects. Wrk w/customers & internal engrng groups to develop, negotiate, & obtain customer approval of prod. design & spec. Ensure improvement of engrng processes, incl. performing root cause analysis. Promote & approve design review process & maintain design section of the progr. mngmnt tool for each project up to date. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives w/in the Engrng dprtmnt to meet the company's Qual. Obj. initiative. A bachelor's or equiv. in Mech. Engr. or rel. engrng field & at least 5 yrs of prior progr.wrk exper. in aerospace field, focusing on design of cushions & dress covers; at least 1 yr of exper. wrkng in an AS9100 environment.
