Informational Systems Analyst 3 (UCP 8)


The Office of the Registrar at the University of Connecticut is seeking applications for the full time position of Information Systems Analyst 3 (UCP 8). This position will report to the Manager of Technical Projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general direction of the Manager of Technical Projects in the Office of the Registrar, this position will provide high level planning and coordination for the development and implementation of all aspects of major systems impacting student enrollment, focusing on the graduate student population. This position will have additional responsibilities concerning operational procedures, coordination, security, and maintenance of the enterprise level student administration system. Finally, this position is also responsible troubleshooting all problems or questions regarding development, implementation, changing, or maintenance of programs or processes related to the Graduate School.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a computer related field or have a combination of equivalent education and experience. Must have had direct system implementation and/or upgrade experience including systems setup, business process, policies, and data requirements to meet internal and external mandates and legal requirements; demonstrated experience working with diverse groups in a project team setting; evidence of wide ranging skills in planning, leadership, communication and administration; demonstrated success in making deadlines and working under pressure; demonstrated ability to work effectively with vendors, staff and users at all levels; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with: two or more years' professional experience working in a college or university environment with responsible role in providing functionally oriented technical support; significant years of working experience with PeopleSoft (oracle) or SCT Banner (Sungard) student Systems; demonstrated success working with cross functional teams.
