Assistant Director, Center for Career Development-Stamford Campus, (Program Spe


Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Partner Relations and Regional Campus Career Services, this position supports the day to day operations of the Center for Career Development (CCD) activities on the Stamford campus. Incumbents in this position are expected to work with a fair amount of independence, but within the goals and objectives established by the supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in the planning, development, design implementation and evaluation of all activities on the CCD - Stamford campus.
  • Meets with students around career-related topics including deciding on a major or career, resume critiques, interviewing, LinkedIn profiles, and job search strategies.
  • Conducts studies, collects necessary data, evaluates information and prepares analytical reports for CCD-Stamford campus outcomes.
  • Conducts workshops and seminars to instruct, inform and train students on career-related topics.
  • Works with CCD's Corporate Partner Relations team to coordinate events and engage employers and others regarding program information, job postings, and career fairs.
  • Plans, develops, and implements methods and techniques of informing and/or educating others about programs and services.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of individual projects.
  • Responsible for various administrative duties as assigned.
  • May participate in the planning, development and implementation of grant proposals.
  • Represents the department to external groups.
  • Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in academic discipline appropriate to the field of specialization or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Two to four years' professional experience in Career Development or a related field.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of Career Development.
  4. Proven ability to evaluate and produce reliable results, problem-solve and trouble shoot problems.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  6. Proven ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Master's Degree.
  2. Four or more years' experience in Career Development or a related field.
  3. Excellent presentation abilities.
  4. Proven organization skills and attention to detail.
  5. Supervisory experience.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary will be commensurate with successful candidate's background and experience.
