Chair, Dept. of Pathology and Chief of Pathology

Yale School of Medicine, a world-renowned center for biomedical research, education and advanced health care, seeks nominations and applications for an outstanding, visionary physician-scientist leader to fill the role of Chair, Department of Pathology and Chief of Pathology, Yale-New Haven Hospital.

 

Founded in 1810, the Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine has a long and distinguished tradition of advanced clinical care, cutting-edge scientific research, and rigorous training of the next generation of pathologists and of biomedical scientists and physician-scientists. As the leader of the Department, the chair will oversee a complex clinical operation at the Yale New Haven Hospital along with a substantial outreach program, an extensive basic science, translational, and clinical research program, and support growth of the educational mission.  As such, s/he will have a strong record as a mentor and as a teacher, be a recognized leader in pathology research, have history of clinical accomplishments and exceptional managerial and collaborative skills.

 

The Search Committee, chaired by Dr. Brian Smith, Chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Chair, Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine and Chief of Pathology, Yale-New Haven Hospital.  Dr. Smith and the Search Committee are partnering in this search with Russell Reynolds Associates; Dr. Charlie Falcone is leading the Russell Reynolds Associates team.
