Assoc/Full Prof Global Migrations,Gender/Sexuality

The Programs in Ethnicity, Race & Migration and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Yale University seek to hire a scholar with an accomplished record of research and teaching at the intersection of Global Migrations and Gender/Sexuality.  The successful candidate may be a specialist in any geographical region, and represent either a humanities or a social science discipline; interdisciplinary scholars and scholars conducting comparative work grounded in critical or post-colonial perspectives are particularly encouraged to apply.  Areas of focus might include climate and famine migration, environmental justice, political economy, human rights and social justice, cities and geography, labor, indigeneity, or diasporic communities.  This is a tenured position, with appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.  Duties include teaching, advising, and service contributions within Yale University’s programs in Ethnicity, Race & Migration and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies.

The successful candidate or candidates will begin on July 1, 2019, and hold a joint appointment in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, with potential affiliation to another fitting department or program.

 

Qualifications:

Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and rank of Associate or Full Professor at the time of hire.
