Full Salary Range: $17.33-$20.37/hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Animal Facility provides support to researchers by housing and caring for laboratory animals. Under general supervision of the Animal Resource Manager or the attending Veterinarian, the Animal Technician is responsible for the daily care of animals and administrative duties relating to daily husbandry scheduling and monitoring of supplies.
Qualifications include:
Demonstrated completion of training equivalent to the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician certification of the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS), or, ability to participate in AALAS training program, or work related animal care experience
Interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively with people from a wide-variety of ethnic, socio-economic, professional and educational backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Work experience demonstrating problem-solving, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and the capacity to learn and perform routine, repetitive tasks
