Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive, integrated digital marketing strategies for University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. This individual is responsible for understanding the target market and their educational needs. They will work with cross-functional partners to execute strategies and tactics to reach the respective audience. As a key member of the University's marketing team, the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will lead the development and execution of SEO/Content Marketing, SEM, Social Media and/or Email marketing programs. The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist is measured on increases in brand awareness among the target market, with an emphasis on driving high quality prospective student inquiries, conversion and retention of students.

Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee USAHS website, landing pages, apps, and other digital assets to ensure that design and content is up-to-date, accurate and engaging; goal is to generate organic leads which is a critical KPI for this role; work with cross-functional team and other marketing team members to identify opportunities for content and site development
  • Develop understanding of competition in the marketplace, industry characteristics, target market information needs and desired user experience.
  • Conceptualize, develop and execute organic and social media campaigns for all USAHS programs
  • Manage the day-to-day activities and performance of marketing campaigns; including internal and external email, search, and social campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and manage the relationship and performance of the digital marketing agency overseeing paid search and display advertising.
  • Optimize media buys to approved spending levels and provide targeted spend and lead levels to gauge performance to budget
  • Provide insight and analysis to determine the ROI from various online marketing campaigns, including affiliate, paid search, display and organic/content marketing campaigns.
  • Work with product development teams to manage new product launches, developing digital marketing plans focused to key target audiences.
  • Design, develop and launch digital campaigns for new products.
  • Manage effective, branded marketing communications via the University website, student portal and social media campaigns.
  • Work closely with Information Technology to provide technically sound site infrastructure

External Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible positions in marketing, preferably with a strong digital emphasis.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and other similar reporting, analysis and research tools (Google keyword planner / Insights for Search, Webmaster Tools, Spyfu/SEMRush, Moz, etc).
  • Effective communications, both verbal and written.
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus.
  • Previous experience managing paid social (FB business manager, Power Editor, Twitter Cards, etc).
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketo, Hubspot, etc) a plus
  • Expertise in planning and writing content in support of SEO strategy.
  • Knowledge of paid search platforms and methodologies including Adwords, Yahoo Gemini and Bing. Adwords certification a plus.
  • Working knowledge of social media management and monitoring tools
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of diverse creative employees.
  • Demonstrated success conceptualizing, developing and executing large-scale digital marketing campaigns.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Expertise in digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM and social media with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Experience working in a flexible, matrixed work environment.
  • Experience leveraging internal and external PR and communication teams and contractors to generate high-value content in support of stakeholder communications and SEO.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Previous experience in lead generation is a plus.
  • Schedule requires some evenings and weekends when necessary (event support), some travel required.
  • Valid driver's license for State of residence and at least minimum liability insurance required by State
