Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing content and product marketing collateral for both the university representatives and marketing team. This individual executes the production of institutional and product marketing collateral, displays, and print communications. In addition, this individual assists with materials and services for trade shows, sales meetings and other events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with internal clients to identify and develop materials for external communication, including product collateral, direct mail, web-content, promotions, signage and displays, advertising, photography, videos, and e-mail communications.
  • Provide direction, schedules and manage content for both internal staff and external vendors.
  • Monitor schedule, production, and distribution arrangements and other details to ensure timely completion and quality control of marketing activities and publications
  • Participate in brand strategy discussions and collaborates with the marketing team to ensure strategic objectives are met
  • Adhere to and assist in the development of brand standards and usage guidelines and assists with integrating campaigns with brand consistency
  • Ensure that the brand image and message is consistent in all materials published for external and internal communications worldwide.
  • Collaborate with various functional departments.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with internal and external marketing professionals and vendors such as artists, designers, photographers, videographers, copy writers, mailing houses, postal service, etc.
  • Attend events when appropriate to support social media, photography, and videography initiatives
  • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, etc. Represent the university as assigned or appropriate
  • Provide timely and accurate communication to Enrollment, Product Management and Sales Teams to ensure awareness of and participation in all marketing events.


External Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, or related studies
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in marketing communications or related field
  • Experience in working with lead-generating marketing programs that include but are not limited to media, direct mail, telemarketing, seminars, trade shows, events, and on-line campaigns.
  • Experience working with graphic designers and marketing agencies, graphic design, photography, and/or video skills a plus
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to express ideas in a clear, compelling manner, build relationships and effectively interface with colleagues, partners and customers at all levels.
