Position Description:
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM, SO APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

INDUSTRIAL & MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING - Part-Time Lecturer Pool. The IME Department, College of Engineering at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for quarter-by-quarter appointments during the 2017-2018 academic year. Eligible candidates should be capable of teaching in areas of IE and/or MfgE. IE areas include: facilities planning, work measurement, simulation, operations research, information engineering, supply chain management, database management, industrial systems, human factors, engineering economy, project management. MfgE areas include: machining, welding, foundry, electronics.


Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only):


Required Qualifications:
B.S. in industrial or manufacturing engineering or a related field is required. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in industrial or manufacturing engineering or a related field is preferred.

Special Conditions:
Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
