Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Position Description:
Full-time lecturer positions for the 2018-2019 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Construction Management courses.


Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only):


Required Qualifications:
Requirements include: Master's degree in Construction Management or closely related discipline from an accredited institution or comparable institution, and five (5) years of relevant teaching experience and/or professional construction experience employed in increasingly responsible management positions primarily in the US construction or comparable industry. These requirements may be waived for individuals with exceptional experience and/or professional or teaching expertise.

Relevant teaching experience and/or professional construction experience should reveal excellence in teaching and competencies in both the technical and managerial areas of the profession.

The successful candidate must also have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include: previous teaching and/or work experience in the areas of construction methods and materials, construction estimating and scheduling, construction contracts, and construction management; and demonstrated computer literacy with construction related software.

Special Conditions:
Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
