Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
A Ph.D. in one of the following is required: Criminology or Sociology with a specialization in Criminology or closely related field, with substantive work in the area of gender and criminology. University teaching experience and evidence of an active research agenda are expected. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a broad and critical appreciation of the field; teach undergraduate classes in criminology and gender, quantitative methods and/or social theory; conduct ongoing research in related fields and publish their findings in scholarly venues; supervise senior projects and provide advising and other supervision for sociology majors; and participate in service at various levels of the university. They will be asked to contribute to the university's mission, "Learn by Doing," and participate constructively in university life and undergraduate education.

Once hired, candidates will collaborate with their dean and others to develop a plan for utilizing these funds for supplemental compensation, assigned time, or professional development activities.

Faculty should build collaborative relationships across the University and with colleagues at other universities.
