About the Position

 

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Parking Manager, the Parking Office Coordinator provides general administrative support and coordination for the Parking Services office. The position provides operational support throughout the organization, encompassing the issuance and billing of parking permits; management of parking citation appeals and collections; special event parking accommodations; and assistance with customer service by resolving customer problems. The position will handle cash and other forms of payment, reconcile revenues, and perform collections for past due accounts.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Coordinate parking permit issuance, parking citation processing, event parking, and resolve customer service requests Work with other campus departments and with outside groups to provide adequate parking for special events without severely impacting the parking needs of the campus. Facilitate data entry of parking citations and appeals into T2 Flex parking management system and generate, collate, and mail parking citation, delinquent, amended citation/complaint, appeals, and other notices as required by policies, procedures, and/or applicable statutes, such as the California Vehicle Code. Resolve parking permit and citation customer service requests escalated from staff. Acknowledge, research, and resolve Declaration of Non-Ownership and Release of Liability claims from customers and rental/leasing agencies by accessing and utilizing information from remote databases, such as those maintained by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Perform daily operations associated with the Parking Services Office Perform administrative duties and general office work such as ordering office supplies and answering customer calls. Conduct/oversee projects, prepare reports, and maintain related records and files. Open/close Parking Services office and close out Parking Office Assistants' and Student Assistants’ cash drawers. Provide customer service by interacting with the campus community to coordinate the issuance of parking permits and to assist in the resolution of problems related to parking. Assist customers with the payroll deduction process for parking fees. Issue over the counter refunds. Process parking permit and citation payments, Live Scan fingerprinting, police report, impounded vehicle, and other transactions. Manage and maintain parking supplies inventory and equipment. Liaison with campus community, vendors, and outside organizations. Organize, facilitate and attend meetings and orientations with campus groups to discuss parking issues and policies to educate the campus employees and students. Provide information about parking and parking issues to campus groups as requested when the information is available.
