Qualifications:
Possess a doctorate from an accredited university and be academically qualified under AACSB standards. Terminal degree must be awarded by start of appointment.
The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in Operations Management, Operations Strategy, Project Management, as well as selected courses in other complementary disciplines.
Interest and experiential background in Operations & Supply Chain Analytics and Supply Chain Management are also desired.
Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
For those with teaching experience, demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.
Demonstrate an ability to work in a collegial atmosphere as part of a team.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit a commitment to interact effectively with the Silicon Valley business community.
Record of research publications or evidence of potential for research publications.
Emphasize pragmatic teaching applications, ideally enhanced by industry experience.
Expertise in some other disciplines, such as technology management, project management, supply/materials management, service operations management, operations strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership is desirable.

Responsibilities:
The appointee will teach undergraduate and graduate courses from foundation through advanced in the Operations Management field. The appointee will share in student advising, curriculum development, and service responsibilities. Effectiveness in academic assignments, including service to students and University, and a record of research and/or professional achievement which are defined in the University Retention/Tenure/Promotion guidelines is required to achieve tenure and promotion. Candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date: August 21, 2017
