About the Position
The Assistant Articulation Officer supports the initiation, development, and management of course articulation, credit for system-wide external exams and the ASSIST/SJSU articulation and CollegeSource (TES) databases.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the work of the University Articulation Officer and serves as a moderator, advisor, and communicator of articulation information for San Jose State University.
- Assist in implementing programs and policies regarding articulation set forth by the CSU Chancellor's Office and the California State Legislature, such as Transfer Model Curriculum (TMC), Course Identification Numbering (C-ID) system, and AD-T degrees.
- Develops and maintains lower division course articulation agreements between SJSU academic departments and California community and four-year colleges.
- Develops and maintains GE course articulation agreements with other institutions as directed.
- Assists with updating articulation data into the articulation websites: artic.sjsu, ASSIST, and CollegeSourceTES.
- Interprets and implements articulation policies and procedures (for General Education and Course-to-Course) for community colleges, CSUs, and other schools as directed.
- Develops and maintains articulation database of General Education, external credit exams, such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP).
