Assistant Professor of Women and Gender Studies

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF WOMEN AND GENDER STUDIES 

San Francisco State University

The Women and Gender Studies Department at SFSU seeks to hire a junior scholar with expertise in transnational feminist methodologies whose research addresses one or more of the following fields: science and technology studies, disability studies, indigenous feminisms, and/or health inequalities and the environment. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Women and Gender Studies or experience in the discipline. This scholar must teach from a perspective that emphasizes the mutually constitutive nature of categories of difference, and their course offerings should complement and extend our department’s strengths in transnational feminist cultural studies and interdisciplinary social sciences.  Qualifications: Ph.D. (or completion of degree requirements by August 1, 2014), evidence of teaching effectiveness, and demonstrable high-quality scholarship.
