June 12, 2018 - July 19, 2018, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:15pm-7:30pm
Self-awareness and compassionate self-understanding, personal growth, and on-going professional development are essential to the well-being and effectiveness of counselors. This is a foundational course in the Counseling Department designed to provide graduate students with a general introduction to the field of counseling and to the program; to introduce students to integral and holistic health as it pertains to counseling; and to inspire students to understand, respect, and care for themselves personally and professionally, now and throughout their lives. This course provides information, experiences, and resources from a variety of educational, psychological, and cultural contexts crafted to enhance personal and sociocultural awareness, health, well-being, and responsibility. ( 3 units)

2. Seniority of those who have not taught the course up to their average.
3. Seniority rotation above their average up to seven (7) course values.
If the course is not assigned to a current qualified adjunct faculty member under the process above, it may be assigned to a new hire after the 14 day period for current adjunct faculty members to apply has elapsed.
