Responsibilities:

Work Schedule: Part Time

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Health and Wellness Center, the RN will triage and assess all patients based on their clinical presentation and oversee and monitor patients who require extended observation. Under a clinician's supervision, the RN performs lab tests and EKG's, administers medications and vaccines, performs wound care, and makes referrals to local MD's and other community services.The RN assists the Health and Wellness clinicians in patient set up and follow up care.

The RN assists with administrative duties as needed including telephone advice, filing and maintenance of confidential medical records, restocking of medications and supplies and scheduling.



Experience and Qualifications:

Current California Registered Nurse license and CPR certification required , bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Triage skills and recent experience in college health, urgent care, ER or public health preferred. Understanding and appreciation of gender, cultural, ethnic and international differences. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of a culturally diverse campus community. Ability to work independently and as a team; understanding of and commitment to further the mission of the College.

Each Security Report also provides campus policies and practices concerning security how to report sexual assaults and other crimes, crime prevention efforts, policies/laws governing alcohol and drugs, victims' assistance programs, student discipline, college resources, and other matters.
