Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges in California, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2017 in Postcolonial and/or World Anglophone Literatures. Also desirable are secondary research and teaching interests in Indian Ocean literatures including East African, South/South-East Asian, and Middle Eastern diasporic literatures, theatre and performance studies, and critical theory. The hired candidate will teach 5 courses annually. A Ph.D. in English or comparable field, by time of appointment is required. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda and a deep commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and teaching.
