Position Announcement

The faculty in the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for a Full-time Lecturer to teach Business Law.

Responsibilities
Teaching duties may consist of day or evening classes. Teaching responsibilities will include both undergraduate and graduate courses, and likely include online courses. Additional responsibilities include service consistent with the mission of the University and the College of Business Administration and Public Policy.

The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics has 16 full-time faculty. The department offers undergraduate concentrations in accounting, finance, international business and a certificate in accounting. The department is a major contributor to the MBA Online program. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and bar admission.
Experience in transactional legal practice (including contract formation) or equivalent business management experience.
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Must be professionally qualified according to the AACSB standards.
Preferred Qualifications
J.D. from "US News Top 50" law school.
Active bar license.
Significant experience (10+ years) in transactional legal practice (including contract formation) or equivalent business management experience.
Significant experience (5+ years) in teaching business law to undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Must be professionally qualified according to the AACSB standards.
Background Checks
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
