The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications for a Tenure-Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with the appointment starting in Fall 2019.

The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management
The department is a multidisciplinary department, which includes thirteen tenured/tenure-track/full-time lecturer faculty members and several adjunct faculty members in the areas of information systems, information security, business analytics, and global supply chain management at the undergraduate level and information technology management and supply chain management at the MBA level.

The College of Business Administration and Public Policy
The College of Business Administration and Public Policy consists of three business departments (accounting, finance & economics, information systems and operations management, and management and marketing), the department of public policy, and the applied studies program. The College houses 57.8 FTEF (full-time equivalent faculty), 60 equivalent faculty counting part timers, 2100 undergraduate and 116 graduate students. The business major awards the largest number of bachelor degrees on campus. The business program is the second largest program in the university including both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The College offers two (online and on ground) graduate degrees, an MBA and an MPA. These two degrees have on-line options with complete concentration and course offerings. The MBA Online program was cited in the Wall Street Journal and is listed as a top-ten best buy by Geteducated.com. The public administration program is accredited by NASPAA. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
A doctorate degree in information systems or a related discipline by August 2019 with expertise in information assurance and security, demonstrated potential for teaching and research excellence.
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred qualifications include an active research plan focused on information assurance and security and also a strong interest in teaching in these areas
Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment; interest in active and collaborative learning and the instructional use of technology; prior college-level and online teaching experience; enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment; and demonstrated commitment to advocating for diversity.

Employment Requirement - Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
