Basic Function:
This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions for the 2017-2018 year. This assignment may include teaching at other campus sites, teaching at a correctional facility, day or evening classes, weekend classes, large classes, and distance learning.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of Public Health Science Courses such as, but not limited to, Introduction to Public Health, Personal Health and Wellness, Drugs Health and Society, and Social Justice and Health.
This assignment may include teaching at other campus sites, day or evening classes, weekend classes, large classes, and using multiple teaching methodologies. This will include face-to-face classes, hybrid (mixture of online and face-to-face) format courses as well as, online formats.
Other duties include: participating in student recruitment and articulation of programs; maintaining subject matter currency; developing and revising curriculum; using computer and multimedia technology; assessing student learning and program level outcomes; collegially participating in department, college, and discipline-specific professional activities.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

Masters in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health,

OR

Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters in any biological science

OR The equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for these positions. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications must request and submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form. Supporting documents must be included with the completed form.

Note: Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an evaluation service.
