Academic Associate

Academic Associate (Job#12442)

The School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University invites applications for its Academic Associate pool for the 2018-19 academic year (Job#12442). These positions are one semester appointments, part time, non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications. Successful candidates will serve as supporting instructors performing tasks such as grading, holding office hours, and addressing student questions for face-to-face and/or on-line courses. Positions may be available in the following fields: General Biology, Animal Behavior, Animal Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Evolution. Diversity is a key component of excellence at ASU, and the School of Life Sciences supports the value of diversity among faculty, staff and students. $1000 to $1500 per credit hour; DOE.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biology or a related field by time of appointment.

Desired qualification:

  • PhD in biology or a related field

Experience teaching undergraduate biology courses in person and on-line. Initial review of applications will begin on July 1st, 2018 and continue on the 15th and 30th in subsequent months throughout the academic year as needed until the search is closed.
